Rtanj
Mountain lies within the Carpathian massif and is by far a very
special one.
The unreal pyramid of East Serbia, between the
Sokobanja and Crna Reka basins – it is a subject of our deep
respect. As soon as you see its outskirts your pulse is accelerated.
It leaves no one indifferent. No other peak in Serbia leaves such an
impression as the mighty Siljak (1565m) with its small stone chapel.
When you are up there you feel the real delight witnessing the view
that dominates the whole area. Mountains of Borski Sto, Beljanica,
Stara, Suva, Ozren, Tupiznica and Lazarus Canyon. All of these are
there in front of you.
Famous for tea, aliens and various theories
– in the world of mountain sports it is considered a genuine
treasure. Excellent access roads, nearby spa and lakes and high
altitude difference together contribute to its great
popularity.
